Each summer, SPEA students obtain outstanding internship opportunities throughout the world. This summer, our students are in 21 states and 16 countries, applying their SPEA coursework to the real-world setting. We are excited to announce we will be featuring monthly summer blog posts from three SPEA students:
- Lizzie, MPA/MSES ’12, is interning with Dow AgroSciences at their headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is assisting the Regulatory Affairs Group with a project that aims to predict the long-term impact of key regulatory issues relative to pesticide use in the US.
- Grace, MPA ’12, is interning with PricewaterhouseCoopers this summer in Chicago, Illinois. With concentrations in policy analysis and public finance, Grace hopes to work as a management consultant following graduation from SPEA.
- Shannon, MPA/MSES ’12, is working in Kenya with the NGO Aqua Clara International. She is conducting water quality testing and program research for Aqua Clara to help promote access to clean drinking water in rural communities. With a concentration in water resources, Shannon hopes to work on water projects in developing countries after completing her program at SPEA.
Each month, our bloggers will update us on their internship work and how SPEA has prepared them for this experience. Stay tuned for our first wave of summer blogs beginning in June!
